The young mum, a Roundwood native, was fatally stabbed in a brutal attack by her partner in Co Cork, almost two years ago.
A 31-year-old man's been jailed for life after being found guilty of the murder of his partner of ten years in Cork.
Adam Corcoran had pleaded not guilty to murdering 27-year-old Daena Walsh at John Barry House, Connolly Street, Midleton on August 2nd 2024.
Daena, originally from Roundwood in Wicklow, was found with multiple knife wounds and a partially amputated left arm, in the burning apartment.
The jury unanimously found Mr. Corcoran guilty of murder and of starting a fire at the property.
The Judge said Daena was killed in a "truly horrific manner", and sentenced him to life in prison.
