The event on Nov 4th fostered civic participation of Wicklow's future decision makers.
Mental health, climate action, equality, and youth services. These are just some of the issues that really matter to young people across Wicklow. They came together this week for the annual Comhairle na nÓg Youth Summit.
Organised by Cllr. Caroline Winstanley, Comhairle na nÓg Coordinator, the event gave young people a platform to engage directly with local decision-makers and highlight what matters most to them.
Workshops and discussions throughout the day encouraged collaboration and civic participation, helping participants gain the tools to influence change in their communities.

Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Melanie Corrigan, said the event highlighted
“the energy and insight young people bring to our communities,”
while Chief Executive Emer O’Gorman reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to
“inclusive decision-making and youth empowerment.”
Comhairle na nÓg member Oscar Kavannagh added:
“To see the young people of Wicklow so vocal and engaged is a massive achievement for Comhairle and for the county.”
