Strong winds and some power outages are expected mainly in the southwest as Storm Hannah hits the country later today.
A status orange warning is in place for Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick from 4pm - and will be extended to Tipperary and Waterford from 10 tonight, bringing gusts of up to 130 kilometres an hour.
A Status Yellow Wind Warning will also come into effect from 11pm tonight for several counties including Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow and Kildare and all of Connacht.
