A yellow wind warning will come into force in Wicklow and surrounding counties from 9 o’clock tomorrow morning as Storm Jorge arrives, with wind speeds of between 50 to 65km an hour and gusts of 90 to 110km an hour expected.
The warning will remain in place until 3am on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile an orange storm warning comes into force for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry from 6 o’clock tomorrow morning, which will be extended to Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal at midday, until 3 o’clock on Sunday morning.
Marine warnings have also been issued, with a red warning in place tonight off the Wicklow coast, from Mizzen head to Rossan point in Donegal with Southwest gale force 8 to strong gale force 9 winds.
Those winds will veer westerly tomorrow morning and increase to Storm Force 10 and occasionally Violent Storm Force 11.
