Works To Proceed On €4 Million Redevelopment At Kilquade Arboretum

The family-owned garden and lifestyle centre, will soon commence a €4 million redevelopment of its garden centre.

This will include a new roof over the entire retail and plant area. 

The renovated Arboretum will also feature a number of sustainable technology solutions to maximise its potential.

Construction works will start on Monday 14th August and trading at the specially erected structure will commence on 8th August, with the new look store expected to open in Spring 2024. 

When complete the new state-of-the-art facility will offer an outstanding gardening and lifestyle shopping experience for customers, with a comprehensive range of plants and gardening products. 

They will also stock for the first time in Kilquade an extensive range of indoor plants, a fashion department and the hugely popular health and wellness department. In addition, there will be carefully curated home and gifting ranges.

There will also be a food hall and the hugely popular restaurant which will overlook the beautiful exhibition gardens and accommodate over 100 diners.

The newly developed Arboretum Kilquade will benefit from a number of sustainable technology solutions to maximise energy potential and water use.

A rainwater harvesting system will be used to water plants in the garden centre while solar panels will generate renewable electricity.
