Work is underway this week to replace an old watermain on Glen Road in Delgany, which Irish Water says will safeguard the water supply and increase water pressure to homes and businesses in the area.
The works involve the replacement of 1 kilometre of old leaking watermains and the installation of new water service connections from the public water main, to customers’ property boundaries and connecting it to the customers’ water supply.
The works are expected to be completed within 7 weeks.
Traffic management measures are in place including a stop/go system initially, followed by a road closure for approximately five weeks.
