Wicklow County Council says essential work planned for the Navvy Bridge in Arklow, will cause serious disruption for traffic and pedestrians next week.
From this coming Sunday evening until the following Saturday morning, the bridge will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians from 10 o’clock each night until 5 o’clock the following morning.
A stop/ go single lane traffic system with pedestrian access, will operate during all other times for the duration of the works.
Diversion signs will be in place to direct traffic to alternative routes.
The council says access for emergency vehicles and local residents will be maintained at all times.
