Roadworks will get underway this morning to facilitate the construction of a new footpath between Glenealy and Rathnew Villages.
Localised temporary traffic lights will be in place at locations along the route for the duration of the works.
Motorists are advised to take extra care approaching and passing through the area.
Council officials expect to complete the work in 20 weeks.
