A woman in her 20s has been arrested after the discovery of a mortar launcher at Dublin Port.
It was found after an Eastern European registered van was stopped and searched at around 1am.
The bomb disposal unit established it was safe.
Gardai say they are satisfied there was no criminal intent.
They believe the decommissioned Russian mortar launcher was destined for a private collection in Northern Ireland.
Investigations are continuing.
