The arrest was carried out as part of Operation Lakefront.
It was conducted by detectives from the Anti Corruption Unit attached to the Garda National and Economic Crime Bureau in Kildare.
It's the second arrest as part of the investigation.
The woman picked up for questioning today has been taken to Naas Garda Station.
