Entries from students in St David's in Greystones, Educate Together in Wicklow Town and St Mary’s College in Arklow are among students from 213 schools nationwide that will compete for the top prize at the Young Scientist exhibition between the 12th and 14th of January.New and adapted technologies feature in a fifth of all project entries this year with others touching on topics ranging from assisted living devices to apps that help us live more sustainably.The impact of the ongoing pandemic continues to spark interest, with students looking at fake news and disinformation surrounding Covid-19, with a number of projects also exploring attitudes towards news coverage and vaccines.
