World Clean-up Day is a global movement to tackle waste and environmental pollution.
More than 100kg of rubbish was collected from Dr Ryan Park in Greystones on World Clean-up Day.
Volunteers from Greystones, Delgany and Charlesland gathered on Saturday September 20th to improve the local environment.
The event, organised by Cllr Stephen Stokes was part of the global clean-up initiative uniting millions worldwide. It also has the support of Greystones Tidy Towns and the Municipal District Office.
Cllr Stokes praised the community effort, saying:
“It’s inspiring to see people of all ages working to protect the environment. This shows how much locals care about their surroundings.”
The next park clean-up is planned for spring 2026 during National Spring Clean. Why not join in!
