Wicklow is to receive €320,000 to support the enhancement of streetscapes and shop fronts in rural towns and villages in the county, as part of a new €7 million nationwide fund.
The Streetscape Enhancement Initiative forms part of a wider government campaign, to make towns and villages in isolated areas more attractive places to live, work and visit.
Minister Simon Harris has welcomed the announcement and says other projects across Wicklow will include upgrades to building facades, artwork, murals, lighting, street furniture and canopies.
