Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly is bringing the country’s maternity crisis to the floor of the Dail today.
The Fianna Fáil Health Spokesperson is urging the Government to make maternity services as safe as possible.
He claims the sector has inadequate hospitals, poor staffing levels and limited diagnostics.
The maternity care motion, which will be discussed this evening, centres on need for Ireland’s maternity services to be as safe as possible for women and children, including the need for women to be listened to and respected.
