Yesterday, the 28th of February, a gathering was held at the Market Square in Wicklow Town to demonstrate solidarity for Ukraine. The Good Life in Wicklow Town have temporarily paused accepting donations due to the massive volume of donations that they received, however the Coral Leisure Centre are also accepting donations at their reception area. Items that are needed include: Nappies, blankets, food, baby formula, sleeping bags, towels, basic hygiene and intimate products for women, clothes for children, women and elderly people, and cans and other food that can last for a couple of weeks. Locations across the county accepting donations include: Alaska Bakes in Rathnew, The Blessington Tourist Office, Greystones Lawn Tennis Club, Moore's in Grangecon, Grangecon Store Cupboard (Next Saturday March 5th), Hollywood Flower Studio, De Burca Bakes in Grangecon, The Parish Centre in Dunlavin, Anna's Alterations in Newtownmountkennedy, O'Connor Shop in Arklow, Wicklow Enterprise Centre Reception, Spotlight Studios in Wicklow Town, Adrian Dunne Pharmacy Arklow, Scallywags Childcare Bray, Charlesland Sports Centre, Centra Rathdrum.
