A new council initiative has five sites up for grabs. They're connected to water, wastewater and have road frontage.
Are you looking to build and live near Tinahely? A new scheme could make it easier to do so.
Wicklow County Council is offering five serviced housing sites in Kilcommon for those looking to build in their community. They're being sold at reduced prices under the Croí Cónaithe Ready to Build Scheme.
The initiative is aimed at first-time buyers and others hoping to build in the area. The sites are connected to water, wastewater and have road frontage. Three are priced at €40,000 with two options at €50,000.
Speaking on the scheme, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Melanie Corrigan stated:
I welcome this use of Council lands, giving people an opportunity to build their own homes and integrate into the fabric of a vibrant community.
While Emer O’Gorman, Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council, commented:
Wicklow County Council are delighted to be in position to offer these 5 sites for sale, to help in the delivery of affordable housing in County Wicklow.
Any question can be answered by the Vacant Homes Office in Wicklow County Council.
