Wicklow’s Mountain Rescue Team responded to their 20th callout of the year so far this weekend. The callout occurred yesterday afternoon, where the Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were sent by the National Ambulance Service to assist in the extraction of a 25 year old male who came off his mountain bike close to Glencullen. Team was on site for 1 hour and 25 minutes, and was stood down at 16:42pm. Having received pain relief medication from a NAS Advanced Paramedic, Mountain Rescue Personnel moved the patient into a stretcher and then made the short carry back along the track to the National Ambulance Service and crew for the hand over.
