The Health Minister has admitted Emergency Department waiting times for over 75s are unacceptable.
It's after a Parliamentary Question to Sinn Féin's David Cullinane revealed people over 75 are waiting on average almost 14 hours for ED admission.
There are longer waiting times in some hospitals.
The average wait was 28.8 hours in Cork University Hospital and 26.8 in Cork's Mercy Hospital.
22.2 hours in University Hospital Limerick.
Wicklow Minister Stephen Donnelly says they're trying to address the issue.
The figures show in all but four hospitals over 75s are waiting longer for admission than people below that age.
