The number of third-level courses outside of the CAO system is set to be doubled.
The tertiary degree scheme gives students the opportunity - for the first time - to earn an undergraduate university degree outside of the points system.
Over 800 students applied to the first batch of courses, launched in July.
Higher Education Minister Simon Harris is now expanding the programme, saying he's eager to take the emphasis of the "points race".
