David O'Callaghan from The Fairways, Woodbrook Glen, Bray has appeared before a sitting of Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
He was charged with five counts of criminal damage to gates at Leinster House, Áras an Uachtaráin and the Custom House, which happened within the space of 15 minutes on August 2nd last year.
The court heard the damage caused at the Áras was valued at €4,750.
No damage estimate has been given for the other locations, but Gardaí believe it to be in the tens of thousands.
Judge Martin Nolan set a sentence date of April 10 and remanded O'Callaghan on continuing bail to that date.
