A Wicklow man has gone on trial accused of stealing €27 million from seven financial institutions between 2005 and 2007.
Michael Lynn, with an address at Millbrook Court in Redcross denies twenty-one counts of theft during that two-year period.
It is the prosecution's case that he did so by applying for multiple mortgages on the same properties.
Due to the expected length of the trial, a specially enlarged jury of fifteen has been sworn in to hear it.
It’s expected to open on Wednesday.
