Oonagh and Oisín are taking on one of Europe’s biggest marathons, to give something back
A County Wicklow couple is taking on the Paris Marathon this April to support the charity that has helped them.
The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation has helped Oonagh and Oisín Curran care for their young son since he was a baby. This April, they're running the 42.2 km race to raise vital funds for charity, that has supported their son Jamie for the past four years.
Jamie a “very happy and social little boy” lives in Wicklow with his parents and brothers Oscar and Ben. He was born severely anaemic and suffered a brain injury. Jamie has since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay and cerebral visual impairment.

Oonagh and Oisín say the support has been invaluable.
“The support from Jack and Jill means we can spend time with our other two sons who need our focus just as much as Jamie,” they said. "It is also great to have support in key stages of Jamie's life, such as when he needs surgeries and hospital care".
The Curran family are hoping to raise as much as possible for The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, which provides in-home nursing care and support for children with complex medical needs.
