A family adventure tree park in North Wicklow may not re-open because of rising insurance costs .
The Squirrel Scramble at Killruddery House and Gardens in Bray which has more than 50 different challenges, including12 ziplines, spread across 5 levels has been entertaining families and corporate groups since 2014.
But the park has been forced to close early this year and may not be able to open again, after the insurance quote for the next year, rose from €26,000 to 88,000.
Speaking to East Coast FM's Morning Show, spokesperson for Squirrel Scramble Deirdre Merriman said their business is very low risk, but insurance companies don't seem to be interested and are throwing out astronomical figures.
