The number of adults in emergency accommodation dropped last year for the first time since 2014.
A new performance report of the 31 local authorities shows the average wait time to rehouse a tenant in social housing is 33 weeks, up from 28 in 2019.
It highlights that 141,000 homes are under local government ownership, just under 4,800 of those are here in County Wicklow with an average vacancy rate of 3 percent.
Meanwhile there were almost 85,000 pollution complaints made to councils last year - an increase of almost 6,000 on 2019.
