Councillor Paul O’Brien, who is based in Wicklow town, says he has put his name forward after the former T.D. and current county councillor Anne Ferris decided she wouldn’t be seeking to run for one of the five Dail seats in the county.
Paul O' Brien says it also means that previously declared candidate for the party, Former SIPTU President Jack O’Connor is stepping aside.
