Covid-19 cases in County Wexford rose dramatically over the festive period, with 722 confirmed cases of the virus between the 14th and 28th of December.
The South of the county was worst affected with 277 cases reported in New Ross and 91 cases in Enniscorthy. 56 cases were identified in Wexford town with 41 in Rosslare.
New Ross had the highest 14 day incidence rate of any Local electoral area in the country, at 998 per 100,000 of the population.
Meanwhile it's claimed one in twenty people living in Tramore in County Waterford now has Covid-19.
Doctors say there's been a spike in cases in the seaside town in the past two weeks, with one practice reporting over 200 cases among its patients since St. Stephen's Day.
