The re-opening of Donard Garda Station comes as part of the establishment of a pilot scheme to reopen six of the 139 Garda stations that were closed across the State in 2012 and 2013.
Wicklow Sinn Fein TD John Brady who had actively campaigned for the station to re-open, says it’s welcome news for the community of Donard and surrounding areas and will play a critical role in dealing with rural crime.
