Gardai carrying out a Covid-19 checkpoint in Rathnew in Wicklow yesterday, impounded a vehicle after the driver turned from the checkpoint.
When the vehicle was later stopped, it was found the NCT had expired over a year ago. In a separate checkpoint on the Celbridge road, another vehicle was seized after gardai found the motorist had no insurance.
