A 30 year old man has appeared before Tallaght District Court, charged with murdering his father at his home in Dublin at the weekend.
65-year-old Harry Sheeran a father of two, died after being stabbed at a house at Carriglea View in Firhouse shortly before midnight last Sunday.
His son Gareth Sheeran was arrested at the scene and was charged with his death last night, and brought before the courts today. He was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill district court next Tuesday.
