A man appeared before a special sitting of Bray District Court last night charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Arklow two days ago.
37 year old Stephen Kavanagh was found with serious injuries at the Crescent in Meadowvale at around 12.30 am last Monday morning. He was taken to Saint Vincent’s hospital but died a short time later.
Last night 42 year old Darren Houlden was charged with his murder.
There was no application for bail and the accused was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison to appear before the court again next Tuesday.
