The Teachers’ Union of Ireland has said there is 'no justification' for providing a hybrid Leaving Cert option this year.
Sinn Fein’s education spokesperson Donnchadh O Laoghaire and Fine Gael Senator Regina Doherty have called for students to have the choice to sit their exam or accept an accredited grade again this summer.
The measure was introduced for the Class of 2021, to accommodate for challenges caused by school closures and remote learning.
