Ukrainian Students Song Screening Takes Place In Greystones This Weekend

Cruinniú na nÓg 2024 – Cool Na Greine – Ukrainian Childrens Song Screening & Garden Party in Greystones.

Cruinniú na nÓg will be taking place nationwide this Saturday the 15th of June, offering children and young people the opportunity to participate in free creativity and art events throughout the country.

Cruinniú na nÓg is a national day of creativity for children and young people in Ireland, and an initiative that encourages participation in culture and creativity through various activities such as performances, theatre, art, music workshops, readings, screenings, and special events.

Greystones Youth Café at the Coolnagreina campus will be the host for Cruinniú na nÓg in Greystones, which will be a very special event as it will spotlight children from Ukraine who have been living there since the onset of the war in Ukraine.The youth cafe  will represent Greystones under the Rhyme Ireland category. Rhyme Ireland is a powerful initiative that aims to ignite the creative spark in young people across the island of Ireland. It’s a platform that empowers them to express their thoughts, dreams, and stories through the dynamic mediums of rap, songwriting, and video, inspiring them to believe in the power of their own voices.This video will be launched during the Saturday afternoon event, starting at 2 PM. It will feature music performances and the grand launch of the video they recorded for this event; they haven’t seen the video yet and are excited to showcase it to the community members.
