Two separate local link bus routes that serve County Wicklow are among 55 evening services that are now mainstreamed for funding within the Rural Transport Programme.
The Dunlavin to Baltinglass and Tinahely to Arklow services took part in an 18 month long pilot scheme.
The National Transport Authority, in a report, say the Local Link Wexford Rosslare to Wexford service Route 387 recorded the highest number of evening trips in the country, followed closely by Route 883A Newbridge to Athy in Local Link Kildare.
While the 183 Glendalough – Wicklow Town sees an average of 38 passengers per week using evening services.
