Two men arrested in Wexford on Tuesday on suspicion of being involved in a money laundering offence, have been charged and are due in court in Gorey this morning.
During the course of an ongoing intelligence led investigation members of the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, supported by a Special Crime Task Force, approached the occupants of cattle transporter and a car, parked in a lay-by on the N25, near Rosslare.
They seized an estimated €400,000 in cash and the arrest of two men, a 50 year old Irish national and a 35 Polish national. A number of related searches also took place in Swords, in Dublin and Trim in county County Meath.
