Investigations are continuing following the seizure of guns, ammunition and a replica grenade in Co Wicklow yesterday.
A search operation was carried out at a property near Baltinglass on Monday.
A man, aged in his 30s, and a woman, in her late 20s, were arrested at the scene. They are being held at a local Garda Station this evening under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardaí say this significant operation involved officers from Baltinglass and Bray, backed up by the Armed Support Unit.
The Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team also attended.
All weapons seized will undergo further forensic and ballistic testing.
