Surveys have been carried out on major roads and cities this week to monitor traffic.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland reports the number of vehicles on the roads is largely unchanged since restrictions were introduced last month.
It had been claims earlier this week that people were noticing more traffic than in previous days.
Despite this, the AA is reporting their breakdown assistance call outs are up week-on-week.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland is reporting road usage on it's major networks are down by between 60 to 70 percent on weekdays since restrictions were brought in.
That rises to as high as 87 percent on weekends.
