A Wicklow businessman has announced his intention to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming Seannad by election.
Aubrey McCarthy is best known for his work with Tiglin, an organisation that provides housing and other supports to those affected by homelessness in the county.
The charity currently has centres in Greystones, Brittas Bay, Ashford and Arklow.
Aubrey says they have plans to expand their services into Naas in Kildare and in Dublin.
