Met Eireann's forecasting severe thunderstorms throughout the country later today.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the 26 counties, and a similar alert's in place in the North.
The warnings comes into force from 4 o'clock this afternoon, until 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.
Wicklow is among the counties expected to be worst affected .
