Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward as three teenagers remain in hospital this morning following a serious road crash in County Wicklow over the weekend.
Three girls were seriously injured when the car they were passengers in overturned near Tinahely late on Saturday night.
The driver, a man in his late teens, was uninjured - as were three more passengers. The road was closed for a time yesterday at Ballinglen but has since reopened.
Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed either crash, or who has dashcam footage from the areas at the time, to come forward.
Local Fine Gael TD Brian Brennan told BreakingNews.ie: "This accident happened late in the Tinahely region. It is believed a car with a number of occupants lost control on the Ballinglen to Knockananna route.
"From the information we have received, three of these occupants, all females, are now being treated for serious injuries in Tallaght University Hospital. At this stage our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and their families."
