Streets in Wicklow town will be temporarily closed to facilitate the Round Ireland Yacht Race.
Castle Street, Castle Field, Castle Avenue, Monkton Row and the east end of South Quay in Wicklow town will all be temporarily closed.
Castle Street, Castle Field, Castle Avenue and Monkton Row will be closed from the 18th June, 2022 to the 19th June, 2022, from 10am to 6pm inclusive.
Meanwhile the east end of South Quay will be closed from the 16th June, 2022 to the 18th June, 2022, from 8am to midnight inclusive.
Pedestrian and local vehicular access will be maintained to all areas. The Main Street and Dunbur Road will remain unaffected for traffic moving in a northwest to southeast direction. Traffic will be free to move eastwards along South Quay and can turn right up Quarantine Hill to Castle Street. Summerhill, Bridge Street, and the port access road remain unaffected.
This road closure is necessary in order to facilitate the Round Ireland Yacht Race 2022.
