The Taoiseach says local councillors objecting to large housing projects is one of the biggest problems when it comes to delivery.
Last night Sinn Féin and Social Democrat councillors in Dublin's Fingal voted against a development of 1,200 homes in Donabate.
Sinn Féin said the party wasn't satisfied with only 40% of the development being reserved for social and affordable housing.
It still got the go-ahead with support of other councillors - with Taoiseach Micheál Martin saying blocking developments won't get homes built
