The town centres of Arklow, Baltinglass, Enniskerry, Bray and Greystones are each allocated €20,000 to improve main streets.
Tánaiste Simon Harris has announced major funding for regional, local and national roads this year in County Wicklow.
The funding will play a significant role in improving roads across the county.
€14.9 million is earmarked for regional and local roads with a further €4 million for National Routes - including major safety improvements on the N11 and N81.
The investment will enhance connectivity, support the rural communities in Wicklow, and improve daily commutes for people across County Wicklow.
Speaking today, Tánaiste Simon Harris said:
"Roads funding in County Wicklow is a major priority for me and I am delighted today to announce nearly €19 million will be invested in our roads this year including:
€8.4 million for restoration improvements of our roads
€2 million discretionary grant for flexible local needs
€1 million for maintenance of our roads "
The Wicklow TD then added :
"I am particularly pleased to see major investment in key projects on our National Roads network including €1 million for road safety improvements at Kilpedder on the N11, €900,000 for the Hollywood Park & Ride on the N81, and €500,000 towards the N11/M11 Junction 4 to Junction 14 Improvement Scheme.
These are real, tangible improvements that will make a difference to people's daily lives - safer junctions, better road surfaces, improved lighting and more. I am committed to maintaining, repairing, and improving our road network for our daily commuters."
