The Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme [TAMS 3] is to open this week.
Tranche One of the scheme will open this Wednesday the 22nd of February with investments on solar panels available immediately.
Investments under nine other headings will become available on a phased basis during Trance One, which is due to close on the 16th of June.
Each farmer will have an investment ceiling of €90,000, which is an increase of €10,000 on TAMS 2 and a number of new items have been added to the scheme.
The grant rate has also been increased up to 60% of the cost of a number of assets.
Farmers will be able to invest up to €90,000 in both solar and low emission slurry spreading Equipment and retain a €90,000 ceiling for other investments.”
Over €370 million will be provided for farmers over the next five years and any farmers eligible for the scheme are being encouraged to get in touch with the Department of Agriculture and ensure that they take full advantage of the vital supports now coming on offer.
