Leo Varadkar has admitted it's been a bad summer for his party as Fine Gael slumps in the polls.
His satisfaction rating dropped significantly in a Sunday Times poll at the weekend while Sinn Féin has opened a clear gap as Ireland's most popular party.
Leo Varadkar enjoys only 39% support, according to The Sunday Times' survey.
It's the second lowest rating of the five main party leaders - with only the Greens' Eamon Ryan lower, on 34%.
