A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Wexford and Wicklow, bringing strong winds and severe gusts until midday. A Status Yellow wind warning for the rest of the country will come to an end at 9am, while a Status Orange wind warning for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo expired at 7am. Around 29,000 homes and businesses remain without power this morning, as the third named storm in recent days, Storm Franklin, passes. Certain homes in Rathdrum, Glenmalure, Tinahely, Ballymore Eustace, and Glendalough are said to have been among those affected. The areas around the country most affected by power outages from Storm Franklin are Sligo and Donegal, according to the ESB. Drivers in Wicklow and around the country are reminded to remain careful and vigilant.
