Stephen Donnelly Under Fire From Within His Own Party

Reports today say the Health Minister Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly has lost the confidence of some members of his own party.

According to the Irish Mail, they believe Minister Donnelly isn’t on top of his brief and have accused him of a series of bungled media performances.It follows what’s being described as melt down Tuesday last week when he incorrectly said during an interview on RTE that people in Dublin could absolutely travel outside of the county despite the level three lockdown, which the Taoiseach was forced to correct just hours later and say that wasn’t the case.

He was also accused by opposition parties yesterday of running away from scrutiny by failing to go before the Dail’s Covid-19 committee
