A status orange rain and thunderstorm warning is in place for 16 counties including Wicklow.

The warning is valid from 11pm tonight until 7am tomorrow.

It covers all counties in Leinster, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary and Waterford.

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will likely cause flooding.
