The start date for construction of the proposed new 1,000 student school at Blessington Community College has been delayed from December 2024 to September 2025.
The school have already seen delays in the delivery of six temporary classrooms which were to accommodate first-year students who started in the school over six months ago.
Wicklow TD Jennifer Whitmore has asked the Minister for Education why the construction start date for this project has been pushed back and, in light of the delay, what supports the Department will be putting in place to accommodate the growing school community in Blessington.
