Locals in Blackrock in Dublin have proposed creating a seafront plaza, that would be built over the DART line.
According to the Irish Times, the raised platform would have hundreds of car and bike parking spaces underneath and would improve access to the beach.
The site is currently a car park and bus station.
The Blackrock Village Rejuvenation Action Group is behind the proposal.
