A solar farm in Wicklow is among three in Leinster that provide electricity to the national grid in 2022.
Under an agreement running until the end of 2037, Bord Gáis Energy will be the sole offtaker of the electricity produced from facilities at Hortland in Kildare, Hilltown in Meath and Millvale here in Wicklow.
The three solar farms are already under construction and will have the capacity to power 12,700 homes on an annual basis.
